We co-led a multi-stage/ multi-year project to enhance sustainable agriculture in Pakistan. In stage 1, we engaged multiple stakeholders to explore opportunities to impediments to sustainable agriculture as well as map options of partnerships/ co-financing to enhance sustainability in the value chain of key crops including maize and potato. In the second phase, we conceptualized potential interventions (underwater efficiency, climate resilience, and reduction of post-harvest losses) to enhance sustainable agriculture, and formulated and supported the implementation of partnerships in the field.
